Cardiothoracic Surgery
Cardiothoracic surgery is the surgical treatment of organs inside the chest (thorax), which includes the diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting the heart (heart disease) and lungs (lung disease). The cardiothoracic and vascular surgeons are trained to perform various surgical treatment options, including open-heart surgery and minimally invasive procedures.
