The resulting improvements in surgical outcomes, including those seen by patients undergoing hernia, colon, reflux and bariatric (weight loss) procedures, with the advancement of robotic surgery has energized his practice.. Dr. Fendley serves as a site mentor for robotic surgery, allowing him to teach other general surgeons about the procedure.
Dr. Fendley and his wife have two daughters, and when not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, fly fishing, playing guitar, traveling, and doing community service through his church.

- Bariatric (weight loss) surgery
- Hernia repair
